If you are a lawyer who has been contacted by your client to report a claim or you are a homeowner or lender who has discovered you may have a claim, we are here to help you resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

No-Fault Claims Process

All title insurance policies issued by FCT include a no-fault claims process and the insured is simply required to submit the details of the claim in writing to begin the process.

1. Where to Start

• Retrieve your policy, or obtain the policy number
• Collect any documentation to support your claim (i.e. survey, tax bill, work order, etc.)

2. Submitting a Claim

To submit your claim, you may either:
• Complete the Proof of Loss form online and attach any supporting documentation to Title Insurance Policy Proof of Loss; or

• Send a written notice of your claim, including the policy number, a description of the problem and supporting documents to FCT Claims Department by email, fax or mail.

3. Documentation required for tax claims

If you are submitting a claim for tax arrears, please include in your supporting documentation:

• Copy of your Transfer/Deed

• Statement of Adjustments

• Undertaking to Re-adjust

• Tax Bill

4. Acknowledgement of Claim

• A representative from the Claims Department will contact you to acknowledge receipt of your claim and discuss the next steps.
• Throughout the process, we will contact you as necessary to discuss the details of your claim up until the time it is resolved
